Publishers and Authors Get More for Less
Grammatika's
revolutionary system connects you with hundreds of
pre-certified, professional proofreaders and copyeditors from
across the nation. Our certification process is thorough and
tests for accuracy, spelling and grammar, multiple editorial
styles, and page layout and formatting, so you can rest assured
that every editor who bids on your project is up to the task.
For trade books to term papers, academic monographs to websites
-- and whatever your budget or deadline -- you'll find your
editor
at Grammatika. And your freelance audience is in constant
contact; Grammatika editors receive email alerts, so they are
personally notified the minute you list a new project.
Who should
register as a publisher/author?
-
Book and magazine publishers who hire freelance
proofreaders and copyeditors.
-
Authors who’d like a professional editorial review of
their manuscript before submitting it to publishing houses.
-
Self-publishing authors whose manuscripts need a
thorough copyedit and proofread before typesetting.
-
Independent writers of dissertations, term papers,
websites, journal articles, fiction, children’s books—any
genre at all—who’d like a fresh set of eagle eyes on their
work.
Publisher/author memberships are free and allow you to post an
unlimited number of project listings, so you can find
proofreaders and copyeditors on a per-project basis. Only
registered, certified Grammatika proofreaders and copyeditors
have access to view your project listings. Other
publishers/authors cannot view your project listings, and as a
publisher/author you will only have access to view your own
project listings. After you post your project listing,
Grammatika copyeditors and proofreaders will offer bids on your
project. When the term of your project listing ends, you can
choose which editor’s bid you’d like to accept. You are not
bound to accept a bid.
Easy to Use
Grammatika's project posting interface is simple yet powerful.
It allows you to quickly and easily input the specifications for
each project you post. You set the length of your project
listing, make a fixed-rate offer or allow open bidding, and give
full project details, including method of payment and shipping
preferences. You can even upload a sample chapter so that the
editors can make more accurate bids. In addition, you will
receive status emails every time there is activity on your
project listing page.
Simple
File Transfer
Do
you have trouble emailing large pdf files to your freelancers?
Grammatika saves the day with its innovative and secure file
transfer system. Send and receive large attachments, up to 25Mb
each, through Grammatika's message base module. The system
stores your files and allows access to only the editor you
specify; they receive a notification email that your files have
been posted and are ready to be downloaded.
Secure
and Confidential
Only Grammatika's well-qualified proofreaders and copyeditors
have access to view and bid on your project. Your listings are
secure and confidential; no one who is not a certified
Grammatika editor will be able to view to the listings you post.
And registered publishers can only view their own listings, not
those of other publishers.
